RE

Reconciliation

We will learn:

  • That God called Mary to be the Mother of Jesus.
  • How Mary responded to God's call.
  • The 'Hail Mary' and begin to understand what the words mean. 
  • That Advent is a time to prepare for the coming of Jesus and understand that Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus.

Geography

Europe

We are learning about:

  • Name and locate four countries of Europe: Spain, Italy, Germany and Greece.
  • Name their capital cities.
  • Know and locate some landmarks in each of the four countries.
  • Use maps, atlases and globes to locate countries on a world map.

          ART          Sketching and Drawing

We are learning about:

  • Investigating different mark making techniques and different tones.
  • Using different drawing implements: pencils, oils, pastels and charcoal.
  • Draw a face with a sense of scale.

Photo Frames

We are learning about:

  • Planning the main stages of making and designing of a photo frame.
  • Selecting a range of materials suitable for the product.
  • Investigating with a range of 3D textile products.

Spellings 

Spellings go home on a Monday and are tested on a Friday.

Homework

Homework is handed out every Friday and must be returned the following Wednesday.

Spellings

Spellings are given out on a Monday and we have a spelling test every Friday.

Reading

If your child reads another book apart from their reading book , please make a note of this in their reading record book with any comments.

Please ensure reading books are returned everyday.

PE

Please ensure PE kits are in school for Wednesday. Kits will be kept in school and returned each half term holiday for washing.

'The Catholic Agency For Overseas Development'.

So far we have raised £42 and will continue raising money throughout the year.
