First Sacraments

Our Staff Sacraments Team will be leading the sessions, supported by you, to help your child prepare for the Sacrament they will be receiving.
Reconciliation 2024
Reconciliation for our Year 3 children will take place on
Wednesday 20th March 2024
during the day in school.The preparation meetings for the children and a parent/carer at our school and led by Miss Baldwyn and Mrs Hodges are all on Tuesdays:

YEAR 3
The Sacrament of Reconciliation
was received by our children, along with others in the Deanery, on
Saturday 25th March 2023
at 2pm
at St Bernard's Church, Halifax
First Holy Communion 2024
First Holy Communion for our Year 4 children will take place on
Saturday 18th May 2024
and will be at our own church
St. Joseph's Church, Brighouse
at 11am.
The preparation meetings for the children and a parent/carer at our school and led by Mrs Slack are all on Tuesdays:

First Holy Communion 2023
YEAR 4
The Sacrament of First Holy Communion was received by our children on
Saturday 13th May 2023
at 11am
in our parish church of
St Joseph's Brighouse
We are very proud of them all!
Confirmation 2024
Confirmation for our Year 6 children will be on
Thursday 7th March 2024
and will be celebrated by Bishop Marcus at
St Mary's Church, Halifax at 7pm.
There will be a rehearsal on
Thursday 29th February
at St Mary's Church Halifax at 7pm.
Our Confirmation candidates were presented to the parish at 6pm Mass on Saturday 18th November.

Please note there will be NO sessions held at St Patrick's Elland for Confirmation.

We are so very proud of our Year 6 Confirmation group who received the Sacrament from Bishop Marcus at a very special liturgy.
