Headteacher’s Welcome Letter

I am very happy to welcome you to our website! Our Mission Statement is reflected in the whole life of our academy which is a worshipping community, nurturing the Faith of all those in our care. The spiritual, moral, emotional and social well-being of every child is a priority to us.

The safeguarding of all our children is paramount and we work hard to ensure that we know our children and their families well. We have robust safeguarding procedures in place and myself and my Deputy are the Designated Leads for Safeguarding.

We value the links between our academy, home and parish, recognising the shared responsibility we have in the all round development of all our children.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum enriched with visitors, visits, events and activities to inspire in each child a joy for learning that we hope will last for life! We expect all our children to be honest, respectful and caring to others and to work hard to instil in them a bank of strategies allowing them to achieve success now and in the future. We provide a range of opportunities for them to experience learning and to know that it is ok to make mistakes, reaffirming that we need to work hard, persevere and never give up in order to succeed! Effort and hard work are celebrated as part of our belief that we are all life long learners! We strive to encourage leadership qualities in each of our children based on the teaching of the virtues in order to give them a strong foundation on which to build.

We provide our parents/carers with regular information about all aspects of school life and offer many opportunities for discussion about, and celebration of, their child's progress. Working closely together we can ensure that both child and parent/carer have a happy time through the primary journey!

We are very proud of all our children - the progress they make and all that they achieve under the guidance and care of our wonderful staff.

If you would like to find out more about us, I extend a warm invitation to you and your family to come and see why St. Joseph's Catholic Primary Academy is such a special place!
