St Joseph's Catholic Primary School

Love, learn and live in Christ!

Hello Parents/Carers! Please remember, if you are a Key Worker and need emergency child care because you have been called to the frontline and there is no one else who can look after your child, then ring Mrs Naylor or Mrs Thompson to discuss the possibility of a place. We should only be your last resort. School is closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday. Thank you for the many uplifting emails I have received which I will be passing onto the staff! Please read my message in the left column below and keep checking this over the holidays as I will be tweaking it!

Headteacher’s Welcome Letter

I am very happy to welcome you to our school website! Our Mission Statement is reflected in the whole life of our school which is a worshipping community, nurturing the Faith of all those in our care. The spiritual, moral, emotional and social well-being of every child is a priority to us.

The safeguarding of all our children is paramount and we work hard to ensure that we know our children and their families well. We have robust safeguarding procedures in place and myself and my Deputy are the Designated Leads for Safeguarding.

We value the links between school, home and parish, recognising the shared responsibility we have in the all round development of all our children.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum enriched with visitors, visits, events and activities to inspire in each child a joy for learning. We expect all our children to be honest, respectful and caring to others and to work hard to develop a range of skills allowing them to achieve success now and in the future. We provide a range of opportunities for them to experience learning and to know that it is ok to make mistakes, reaffirming that we need to work hard, persevere and never give up in order to succeed! Effort and hard work are celebrated as part of our belief that we are all life long learners!

We provide our parents/carers with regular information about all aspects of school life and offer many opportunities for discussion about, and celebration of your child's progress. Working closely together we can ensure that both you and your child have a happy time through the primary journey!

We are very proud of all our children - the progress they make and all that they achieve under the guidance and care of our wonderful staff.

If you would like to find out more about our school, I extend a warm invitation to you and your family to come and see why St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School is such a special place!
