St Joseph's Catholic Primary School

Love, learn and live in Christ!

This week is the second of the season of ADVENT. We now light the first two purple candles on our Advent Wreath. The first purple candle represents HOPE. The second represents LOVE. What do you do to show your family and friends that you love them?

Among other awards we have achieved at St Joseph's we have been awarded the

National Healthy School Standard.

We have a Healthy Snack Policy, offer healthy balanced freshly cooked dinners each day for the children's lunch (which taste delicious!) and offer lots of opportunities for exercise and education about healthy lifestyles. Have a look in Parents & Carers - Policies - for the most up to date policy.

We have  a self service salad bar which our Key Stage 2 children asked for in previous years. (see the picture below!) At the same time they noticed how the younger children were struggling with separate plates and bowls and suggested that a tray would be more user friendly for them and so this was organised too with lovely purple sparkly trays! The children still love them!

We start each morning by asking the children to come into class at 8.50am for an exercise session before lessons begin! They enjoy this session!
